Welcome to our website

Fairview Childcare is truely an out of school club. We run from the Royal British Legion club and at the end of a busy day children get the chance to leave the school day behind relax, unwind and have lots of fun with friends.

My aim to deliver outstanding out of school care for the children of working parents. I appreciate the balancing act parents face in juggling work commitments and having the piece of mind that their children are safe, happy and well cared for.

Fairview is run by experienced and qualified staff and continues to consistently provide an excellent standard of care and education for young children, enabling parents to go to work, happily reassured that their children are experiencing a fun-filled time both before and after school.

Led by Katie Spicer, who has over 20 years of experience working with children in various settings from teaching in schools, children’s centres and childminding. But more importantly being a working Mum of 3 children.

Don’t just take our word

Please listen to what our parents have to say.

Parent

“My two have been attending childminding for three years. Katie is professional and creates a fun, caring and educational environment.”

OFSTED

“Partnerships with parents are exceptional. The childminder has a secure understanding of what children already know and can do when they start. She shares continuous and exceedingly meticulous information with parents daily to fully support their children’s learning at home.” (Ofsted report)

Child

“Katie looks after us and makes sure we are safe. I like doing lots of activities and making things.” (Child attending childminding)

Parent

“Katie, Jane and the team have been looking after my two children now for about six months and they both really love it. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for Katie. We’ve been very impressed by the friendly atmosphere and how well run it all is. Would definitely recommend.”

We are committed to meeting the needs of parents and carers by:

  • Listening and responding to their views and concerns.
  • Keeping them informed of our policies and procedures, including opening times, fees and our programme of activities.
